AGCO Harvested by Ransomware | Cyber Protection Operation Center News

The global agricultural equipment company AGCO, creator of Fendt tractors among other things, has been knocked offline by a ransomware attack. The company reported a revenue of $9 billion dollars and employs 21,000 people globally.
The company is still investigating the extent of the attack but had temporarily shut down some of the production in Germany and France, including sending workers home.
The company did not yet disclose which ransomware family was responsible and how they got breached. But it should not come as a surprise as we have reported about ransomware attacks against the agriculture sector before.

The Active Protection included in Acronis Cyber Protect detects and blocks even previously unknown ransomware, while the backups and disaster recovery service get you back up and running quickly when your services are down.
